Sand Flows

The project featured a real-time particle system and interaction setup, allowing visitors to engage with shifting particle streams inspired by Saudi landscapes, evolving into dynamic textures throughout the day.
In this project, we developed an artistic particle emitter that captures the essence of the Saudi Arabian desert by sampling colors from desert images, as shown in the picture. Our goal was to translate the warm tones of sand, rock, and sky into dynamic particles that could flow and shift, reflecting the natural beauty of the landscape.
By carefully selecting colors, we created a fluid visual effect that brings the still image to life, mimicking the movement of wind and sand in the desert, resulting in a visually rich and interactive experience.
