We’re looking for a curious, proactive Communications & Content Intern to support our communication activities across social media, awards, portfolio, and editorial opportunities.
This role is ideal for someone with strong writing skills, a good eye for visual storytelling, and an interest in design, technology, and immersive experiences. You’ll support the Head of PR & Communications in translating Leva’s kinetic installations into clear, engaging stories across different channels.
In this role, you will:
- Support the planning, drafting, and publishing of content across Leva’s social media channels, especially LinkedIn and Instagram.
- Help turn project materials, behind-the-scenes moments, and internal updates into engaging posts, captions, and content ideas.
- Assist with the organization of visual assets, including images, videos, project materials, and communication folders.
- Support the creation of basic content briefs for reels, project posts, case studies, newsletters, and portfolio updates.
- Draft and revise short texts in both Italian and English, including captions, project descriptions, newsletters, website updates, and press-related materials.
- Support the preparation of media kits, company presentations, and project communication materials.
- Research relevant awards, publications, podcasts, events, and speaking opportunities
- Support the preparation and submission of award applications and editorial proposals.
- Help track deadlines, requirements, materials, and follow-ups in an organized way.
- Assist with the organization of internal and external events.
Must-have:
- Good written and verbal communication skills in both Italian and English; C2-level English required.

In this role, you will:

In this role, you will:
- Contribute to early-stage feasibility analysis and lead brainstorming sessions to identify and evaluate mechanical concepts with a focus on risk mitigation, performance, and manufacturability.
- Support make-or-buy decisions throughout the development process, identifying strategic opportunities for in-house fabrication or external procurement.
- Coordinate directly with suppliers to research and source both off-the-shelf and custom mechanical solutions, ensuring alignment with project requirements and timelines.
- Deliver preliminary mechanical designs, including kinematic layouts, dimensional studies, and first-order structural calculations.
- Develop mechanical and structural systems, including motion transmission chains, linkages, and drive mechanisms, performing early-stage stress analyses and simulations to verify performance and durability.
- Compile and maintain complete and accurate Bills of Materials (BOMs), ensuring traceability and alignment with documentation standards.
- Evaluate and select the most suitable manufacturing process—such as sheet metal bending, welding, CNC machining, vacuum forming, injection molding, electroerosion (EDM), or additive manufacturing (FDM, SLS, SLA)—based on project constraints.
- Lead rapid prototyping efforts using 3D printing, hands-on assembly, and functional testing to validate concepts.
- Produce shop drawings and documentation in accordance with Leva’s standards, ensuring clarity and consistency for seamless fabrication and assembly.
- Design and specify custom tooling, jigs, and fixtures to enable precise and repeatable builds.
- Oversee handover to assembly teams, providing technical support and verifying that mechanical intent is maintained during installation.
- Supervise quality assurance processes, defining acceptance criteria and supporting root-cause analysis of mechanical issues.
